Who is responsible

Your invoice data stays in your browser

What you type into the tool (client names, amounts, dates, payment details) is processed only in your browser. It is saved in your browser's local storage so the form is filled in next time. It is never sent to us. You can delete it by clearing site data in your browser.

Payments

When you tick the checkout box, your browser loads PayPal's checkout. PayPal processes your payment as an independent controller under its own privacy statement. From PayPal we receive the order ID, the amount, and the name and email address on your PayPal account. We use these to fulfil the order, handle refunds and support, and keep our tax records. Legal basis: performance of the contract and legal obligations (tax records, kept as long as German tax law requires, up to 10 years).

Statistics

We count page visits with GoatCounter, a privacy-friendly service that sets no cookies and does not store IP addresses or build profiles. We use it to see which pages are visited and whether the tool is used (for example "letters generated" or "checkout started"). Legal basis: legitimate interest in improving the product. GoatCounter only runs when it is configured by the owner.

Hosting

The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub may log technical data such as your IP address to deliver and secure the site, under GitHub's own privacy statement.

Support email

If you email us, we use your email to answer you and keep it as long as needed for the request and tax records.

Your rights

You can ask for access, correction or deletion of your data, object to processing, and complain to the data protection authority of Lower Saxony, Germany (Die Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz Niedersachsen).
